bible noir ("the App") delivers one passage from the King James Bible per day, drawn at random from a curated set of the text's darkest, most disturbing passages, as a notification at a time you choose. It is intended for readers with an academic or literary interest in the Bible, not as a devotional app, and its mature content is intentional and disclosed upfront. This policy explains what data the App does and does not collect.
The App does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data, usage data, or analytics. It has no servers, no backend, and no third-party analytics or advertising SDKs.
The only information the App stores is kept entirely on your own device:
None of this ever leaves your device. Uninstalling the App deletes it completely.
The App uses your device's local notification system to deliver a daily passage at the time you choose, in your device's local time zone. These notifications are scheduled entirely on your device and do not involve any external server.
The App does not integrate with any third-party services, advertising networks, or analytics providers.
The App is not intended for children and is not directed at them. It does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children, because it does not collect information from anyone at all.
If this policy ever changes (for example, if a future version of the App adds a feature that involves data collection), this page will be updated and the "Last updated" date above will reflect the change.
